  Biographical Info

Dr. Toweh completed an undergraduate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria in 1990.  Following his immigration to the USA in 1993, he enrolled and completed his second undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of Detroit Mercy, Detroit, Michigan, in 1999.  He earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, Michigan, in 2006.  He completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock, Arkansas, in 2012.  During his residency, he became acquainted with Dr. Ayman Abdel-Halim, who introduced him to the world of Acupuncture, Prolotherapy and Neural Therapy.  This led to a more holistic view of medicine. Subsequently he became extensively trained in Orthopedic Regenerative Medicine and medical Acupuncture.  In 2017, Dr. Toweh became one of a handful of doctors to complete a two-year formal fellowship training in Neural Therapy in North America through the Institute for Neural Therapy, Berlin, Germany under the tutelage of Professor Uli Aldag, MD, Hans C. Peyer, MD and Myung Chung, MD.  
Dr. Toweh is currently a fellow in Integrative Medicine with the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine (AIHM).  He is board eligible in Physical medicine & Rehabilitation and Integrative Medicine.  Dr. Toweh is a founding member of the North American Academy of Neural Therapy, an active member of the American Academy of PM&R, the Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine, the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture, and the American Association of Orthopedic Medicine.  Dr. Toweh is currently in private practice in Battle Creek, Michigan with Premier Integrative Medical Group, PLLC.  His interests include innovative non-surgical applications for permanent resolution of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, and the practice of Medicine that reaffirms the importance of the relationship between practitioner and patient, focuses on the whole person, is informed by evidence, and makes use of all appropriate therapeutic approaches, healthcare professionals and disciplines to achieve optimal health and healing.
