Dr. Julio C. Paez graduated from the University of South Florida, Tampa where he received his anesthesiology degree. He then trained in Interventional Pain Management at the State University of New York (SUNY) under the tutelage of world renowned Dr Deleon-Casasolas and Marc Lema. He is experienced in treating spine pain, arthritis, cancer, headaches, fibromyalgia, acute injury pain and post-surgical pain. Part of his training was spent at the well-recognized Roswell Park Cancer Institute, specializing in the management of cancer pain.
Dr. Paez is the Medical Director of the South Lake Pain Institute where he practices as an interventional pain physician, Director of the Regenerative Medicine division, and Principal Investigator and director of the Research Division of South Lake Pain Institute.
In addition to his thriving private practice, Dr. Paez has been an investigator in dozens of clinical trials for varied therapeutic areas, has served in multiple advisory boards and lectured around the country and internationally.
Beyond his time spent honing his patient-centered care and research approaches, he is involved with the Society for Clinical Research Sites and the Florida Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, of which he is Director-at-Large.
